SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo it's been long. Hi.

Besides Procrastinating, I was busy with modules and Final Year group Project, a short 3D animated film called Afterlife about a girl spirit's encounter with an Asian Grim Reaper in a hospital, which I hope would be publicized in July 2014. Anyway I've since graduated from Singapore Polytechnic Diploma in Digital Animation this May 22nd 2014. So much feelings and memories... Another chapter in life completed.

Anyway I've updated my stuffs, and hope to do more in future. Recently I've completed a freelance project, and is in the midst of signing another one, before I enlist into the compulsory Singapore Army for National Service, partially the reason why I, or majority of the males of my age locally, hadn't search for a full time job. There's so much I wanted to do in this holidays, such as rebuild my portfolio, master fundamentals of drawing, create tutorials for others so "we" can learn together, paint and create awesome shits, as well as fulfill my past regrets or things I hadn't done. As usual, if I get something done, it's a miracle. XD

The more months passes, the more I am sure of my direction in life (not 100% sure yet, cos things might change, but sure enough to sleep without wondering). I realized and am more and more firm that I will not depend on my art for bread, while I would like to use my skills and creativity to make a better world for myself and people around me. It's more like a hobby then I want it to be my profession, because I realize I loathe being enslaved by art, I like playing with it at my own pace. I want to help people around me and enrich lives, whether I may end up as a teacher or a toilet cleaner in future, I believe as long as I have goals, patience and thoughts, I can accomplish what I want, whether it's a few years or decades. So yup back to drawing faces and painting trees, because however high the aim is, fundamentals are important, aren't they?

I hope I find that contacts button so I'm easier to be reached. XD

Hello Anybody,

Now it's holiday for me. Ironically I'm ain't doing much. I needa slap myself awake due to drowsiness from my cough medications. So since I new, there're many things that I've yet to upload. Just a few hours ago I've upload my little pastimes in the folder called Pre SP. Well, for those who has yet to read my intro in the first entry, SP stands for Singapore Polytechnic, which is where I am persueing my diploma in digital animation, and it's where I'm receiving official serious art module (started in 2011) in my short 18 years of life.

So in April 2012-March 2013 my pieces will go to the folder SP Year 2 while from this April onwards my future pieces will be in the folder SP Year 3. I wished there is a subfolder option to better categorise my stuffs. I like to put things in Chronological order because I like to see my growth. I assume anyone who is interested in what I do would like to see where I was and how I progressed right? :)

Ok but to my topic of stuffs in Pre SP folder. They're basically scribbles and stuffs I do in Secondary school  before I went to SP and receive official drawing lessons. I scribble when I'm free or when I'm feeling bored from lessons in school, generally before year 2011. The stickmen series is mostly done in 2010 when I'm in sec 3, and my main target is my class. I was very enthusiastic for my class activities (first time in my life), whether it's class t shirt design or class wall painting. Maybe I had a crush in the class hence I decided to participate in my own way.

I'm so glad I did the little notes on the pieces themselves so I can save my trouble of typing my inspirations and reflections and dates done. I spent a few hours on the draft before spending another few hours on the finally ones, each with my own perception or imagination of my 2010 class. I spent a few hours digging them out, scanning them and compiling them in photoshop. Erm... I can type a few thousand more words but I'll leave you to "interview" me.

So I'll be uploading more for my Pre SP, SP Year 1 Period and SP Year 2 Period folders this few days and working on new personal projects. Erm so remember to add me to your watch list if you think I'm worthy enough or send me any comments, I am very responsive. You can also throw my link around so that I may visit your friends too! Thank you for your attention!. :D

Hello Anybody,

I hope to upload more that I have by the end of this week. I organize my pieces in folders, in more chronological order because I like to see how I grow and I hope you nice people out there would be interested too. My art journey... Let's just say I don't really have an official art background such as taking an art subject for examination before 2011, although our elementary and secondary school did expose us students to art like scribbling on paper, painting your hands, making cute little crafts (5 years old standard), talking about primary and secondary colours, not much focus on technical drawing skills though.

Now a student, still in the process of learning and exploring, nothing epic about me. For more info please take a few minutes and read my first entry. Or you can just ask about me, like what I'm doing or what was I doing and hopefully I reply weekly. Feel free to browse my gallery and give me constructive feedbacks. Thanks for your attention. :D

Hello anybody,

I've created this account since last year but due to my school schedule and laziness (:P), I'm only typing here now since it's holiday! I am sure some people don't enjoy reading lengthy paragraphs so ok, I'm just doing this for people who would like to have a little glimpse in my life. Erm... I'm 19 this year, some of my friends call me Gin, and am currently a year 2 student in a 3 years course of Diploma in Digital Animation (DDA) in Singapore Polytechnic, in April 2013, Imma be a third year student.

Yes back to being in polytechnic, that's when I have to take multiple modules, and one of them is Drawing!!! Well, i've heard from lecturers that art schools can have subjects in art for... how do I put it... Ok. Construction drawing (drawing with boxes) in some Art schools can last for 2 years while in my course, we only have like a few months. So I'm in more of a crash course for drawing since we center around animation.

I remembered during the first lesson of the drawing module, I was late with a friend. We arrived in the class and saw our new classmates sitting in a big circle in a drawing studio (actually it reminded me of a ballet studio with big mirror and wooden floor). The teacher was asking the students one by one, why did they choose this Digital Animation course. There were various reasons, but when it was my turn, i was stunned. I didn't know what to say because i never thought anyone would ask me such question.

I answered that I like the visual that I watched in movies and in videos so I would like to learn how to do some similar stuff. Sorry teacher, if you are reading this, I lied. XD My real reason is because I assume that this is a course without Maths and Science (Although I scored As and Bs during O level)!!! I didnt dare to say my real reason because I was afraid that my teacher would judge me. I was just 16 years old back then. :P Well, it turns out that during Year 1, the drawing module carried the most GPA and that was when I went through the "official" drawing training (I didnt expect so much drawing though). Tedious experience, but it was enjoyable for me when I see the work I could produce I never thought I could in my past 16 years of short life. XD

We have to attend weekly lectures and hand in weekly homework (ok maybe I should not type so much, if not this would end up as my 10000 words biography. :P). The first thing I drew was a rubrics cube. I thought it was easy as, well, it's a cube. I was wrong. I spent 6 hours drawing my first "serious" drawing. Well, Throughout the years I realised one thing. Although i could draw simple objects decently, I spent twice the average time that my peers used to drew. Ah well, at least the results I got was above average in my course (Sorry that I'm self praising, I couldn't help it as it was one of the more memorable achievement I got in my short life of being useless. XD).

Many of my friends label me as a "perfectionist". I'm sure it is due to the amount of time I spent more than my peers to draw something and the level of "cleaniness" in my pieces that earned me the label. Nonetheless, the people I meet in Poly are Awesome! Well, I tried to strive for the best in everything I do and hopefully, the audience out there (you are one of them now) , would enjoy my hardwork.

Maybe I should stop typing now. I'm like that. When I have something to talk about, I can talk forever. Since this is deviantart, Imma post up some things that I've drawn in my Singapore Polytechnic life as well as maybe the life before. :P
